Google Pixel 8 series has launched in India this year along with the Pixel Watch 2 which suggests the company is serious but here are some that won't launchNews

Google Will Not Introduce These 5 Products In India

Google has launched several products in India this week, and the list includes the new Pixel 8 series phones and the Pixel Watch 2 smartwatch. After a short hiatus, Google has started focusing on India like other markets, which is a refreshing change that people have welcomed. However, it is still difficult to argue that India would get everything good from Google, for example the Pixel Fold and the Pixel tablet did not enter the country. And that’s not all, Google has decided that some of the best parts of its products will not be released in India, and this time the list is up to five.

5 things Google will not launch in India

Pixel 8 Pro 256 GB or more storage

Google has launched 128GB and 256GB storage variants of the Pixel 8 in the country, but when you scroll through the product list of the Pixel 8 Pro variants, you will notice only one model offering 128GB storage. And it seems that Google is not going to bring any other options to the country, probably because they are priced well above 1.2 lakh, which may not be desirable for Indian buyers. But if Google sees India as an important part of its growth, as it claims, these things matter.

No LTE Pixel Watch 2 model

Another flagship product missing from the India list is the LTE version of the new Pixel Watch 2 smartwatch. Google has once again decided not to bring a mobile version, which could have allowed the company to offer buyers an Android alternative to the Apple Watch. But as it stands, the LTE variant is not expected to come anytime soon, unless something changes dramatically.

New Color Of Buds Pro

Google announced the new colors of the Pixel Buds Pro TWS earbuds at the Pixel 8 launch event, and guess what, these aren’t coming to India either. The color doesn’t matter, but it would have been nice to have new options on the market.

No exciting bundle offers for Pixel 8

It seems Google just doesn’t like India in many ways. I mean you have such interesting bundle deals in the US where you buy a Pixel 8 Pro and Google gives you a Pixel Watch 2 or Pixel Buds Pro for free. Even trade-in offers make people consider buying new Pixel phones, but in India, the best you can get is bank offers (for certain cards) and trading your old phone for peanuts (unless you’re giving away an iPhone Pro Max).

No Google VPN again

Google has offered its special VPN service as part of the One subscription, but it never made it to India. And again, we don’t expect the Pixel 8 series phones to offer the service.
